I've recently watched the TV Drama "1 litre of tears", aka "1 litre no namida" aka "1リットルの涙". I highly recommend you to watch it any way you can, via Youtube, Veoh or torrent sites. It is the most moving, touching, emotional, inspirational testimony, adapted from the diary of Aya Kitō. Don't worry if you can't understand Japanese, there are English subs and I myself don't understand Japanese.
